Cecil is Dr. Caillouette’s Physician Assistant. He assists Dr. Caillouette in surgery and conducts physical exams, diagnoses conditions, orders and interprets diagnostic testing, and writes prescriptions. Cecil was born in Belize City, and came to the United States in 1976. He developed an interest for a career in the medical field while doing volunteer work in high school. After working for two years as a Surgical Technologist, he became interested in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. He was accepted to the Physician Assistant Program at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science where he obtained his degree in 2001. Previous to joining NOI, Cecil worked at the Dorr Arthritis Institute, Florence Western Medical Clinic, and the Louisiana Orthopedic and Spine Institute. Cecil volunteers his services to Operation Walk, an organization that performs total knee and hip replacements for less fortunate individuals abroad. In his spare time, Cecil enjoys oil painting and soccer.
